PURPOSE: An ink cartridge, an ink jet recording apparatus, and a block for discriminating are provided to simplify electrode group position adjustment structure and reduce the size of the electrode group position adjustment structure. CONSTITUTION: An ink cartridge(1) includes an ink vessel, an ink supplying port(4), a first protrusion, a pressing part, and a containing member. The ink vessel has a first side wall and a second side wall. The first side wall crosses with respect to a bottom wall. The second side wall crosses with respect to the bottom wall and looks toward the second side wall. The ink supplying port(4) is arranged on the bottom wall in a position more adjacent to the first side wall as compared with the second side wall. The first protrusion is arranged in a position more adjacent to the bottom wall as compared with an upper wall. The pressing part is arranged on the second side wall and is pressed by a pressing member of a recording device. |
