METHOD FOR SETTING AUTOMATIC CONNECTION BETWEEN (CR)LDP-BASED MPLS NETWORK AND RSVP-BASED ALL-OPTICAL NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method for setting automatic connection between a (CR)LDP(Constraint-based Routing Label Distribution Protocol)-based MPLS(Multi-Protocol label Switching) network and an RSVP(Resource reServation Protocol)-based all-optical network is provided to enhance transmission efficiency between far-ends by performing information mapping and connection setup request stating. CONSTITUTION: It is checked whether a packet is received(21). If a packet is received, it is checked whether the received packet is a (CR)LDP message or an RSVP message(22). If the received packet is the (CR)LDP message, it is checked whether the message is a connection setup request message, namely, a label request message, and the same FEC(Forwarding Equivalence Class) as that of the request message is in an LIB(Label Information Base)(23,231). If the received packet is the connection setup request message but no same FED as that of the request message exists in the LIB, the received label request message is processed and an LSR(Label Switching Router) as an exit LER(Label Edge Router) is terminated(232). It is checked whether the FEC of the request message passes through an all-optical network(233). If the FEC of the request message passes through the all-optical network, a connection request signal is transmitted to an RSVP demon(234).
