PURPOSE: A transflective sequential field driving liquid crystal display is provided to place a back light and a front light at the back side and front side of the transflective liquid crystal display to improve luminance and resolution of the liquid crystal display. CONSTITUTION: A transflective liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal panel, a back light(160), and a front light(170). The liquid crystal panel has no color filter. The back light is attached to the back side of the liquid crystal panel and sequentially emits red, green and blue lights to the liquid crystal panel to mix the lights that transmit through the panel to produce colors. The front light is set on the front side of the liquid crystal panel and sequentially emits red, green and blue lights to the liquid crystal panel to mix reflected lights to produce colors.
