The process is for treating a wall (7) against absorption of moisture coming from the ground (10), the wall having apart under the exterior level of the ground (2), an exterior face in contact with the ground, and a free interior face (4). The process involves drilling horizontal (18) and inclined (19) holes into, but not through, the wall at regular intervals from the interior face towards the exterior ground-contacting face, and injecting water-repellent fluid into the holes. The fluid diffuses by capillary action into the interior of the wall.
