The assembly procedure for a reinforced hollow metal shutter comprising two panels (10, 12) with at least one ventilation grille (16) fitted into apertures (36) in the panels consists of locating the grille on the first of the shutter panels, covering it with the second panel, and fixing the second panel to the first. During the grille location phases tabs projecting from the grille(s) are engaged with matching slots (38) in the shutter panels, and welded from the outside when the panels are fixed together.
