PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a light accumulating molding having a sufficient emission luminance and a sufficient duration of light emission in a dark place without blending an excessive amount of a fluorescent pigment, a light accumulating pigment, or the like, and to provide the light accumulating molding. SOLUTION: The light accumulating molding is produced by mixing a pellet produced by blending a light accumulating fluorescent substance into a thermoplastic resin and a pellet produced by blending a colorant into a thermoplastic resin wherein the thermoplastic resin of the former pellet has a melt index greater than that of the thermoplastic resin of the latter pellet to cause a result that the thermoplastic synthetic resin having the greater melt index is oriented near the interface F between a melt resin R and a die K at which the flow velocity of the melt resin R gets lowered due to friction against the inner surface of the die K during the extrusion molding, and consequently, this light accumulating fluorescent substance is present near the surface of the molding by a greater proportion, which leads to produce the molding having a sufficient emission luminance and a sufficient duration of light emission even with a reduced amount of the light accumulating fluorescent substance required to exhibit the sufficient emission luminance in the dark place.
