PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure hose which can be used in both water pressure and oil pressure operating systems and is improve in productivity, and to obtain a rubber composition which can be advantageously used in this high pressure hose. SOLUTION: The rubber composition is obtained by dispersing an inorganic filler organically treated with a di(polyoxyalkylene)alkylmethylammonium into a rubber. This high pressure hose comprises a tubular inner side rubber layer, a wire-reinforcing layer for covering the inner side rubber layer, and a tubular outer side rubber layer for covering the wire-reinforcing layer, and at least the inner side rubber layer is formed of the above rubber composition.
