PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nailing depth adjusting device which is simple in structure, low in cost, available in wide application range, and positively starts its nailing operation. SOLUTION: In implementation of the nailing depth adjusting device for a nailing machine, which is low in cost and available in extended application range, a nailing machine main body 1 includes a boss portion 4 having a flange portion 4b and a female screw portion 2 into which a male screw portion 5 is screwed, and a latch 8 having an elastic engaging portion 8a is mounted on a peripheral surface of a screw body having the male screw portion 5, followed by engaging the elastic engaging portion with a recess formed in a peripheral surface of the boss portion, and then a head 5a of the screw body is arranged at a location on which an abutting portion 6a of a contact arm 6 abuts.
