PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for machining a metallic band sheet by which the lubrication effect of an inner wax added to resinous paint can exhibit in a drawing process and an ironing process sufficiently. SOLUTION: In this method, ywhen the metallic band sheet obtained by applying the paint containing the inner wax on the outside of a can of the metallic band sheet is subjected to a multistage-can-machining, the surface roughness of a die in contact with the outside of the can is defined as≤0.5μm Ra. It is preferable to use a steel sheet or the metallic band sheetof aluminum or an aluminum alloy as the metallic band sheet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
