PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fence with horizontal members and posts connected to each other with bolts or other connecting bars passing through the posts. SOLUTION: The horizontal member 2 and the post 1 are connected to each other with the connecting bar 10 passing through the post. The post has through-holes 11a, 11b formed in positions where the horizontal member are connected thereto. The bore of each of the holes is larger at an inlet portion of the connecting bar and smaller at an outlet portion thereof. The outer diameter of the connecting bar at its tip inserted into the hole of the post is smaller than the diameter of the hole at the outlet portion and the outer diameter of the other portion is larger than the diameter of the hole at the outlet portion out of the holes of the post and smaller than the diameter of the hole at the inlet portion, allowing the connecting bar to pass through the hole of the post in only one direction.
