<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent key operation from being clattered and being made heavy in movement by receiving the influence of temperature, humidity, etc., even when the material of the tubular body of a musical instrument is wood. <P>SOLUTION: The tone hole opening and closing mechanism includes a shaft 4 which is slidably fitted at one end with one post 2 and is fixed at the other end to another post 3 and a pipes 6 and 7 which are rotatable fitted to the shaft and is rotatably fitted to the shaft to support levers 8 and 9 for driving a cup key.
