PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clay composition for shaping a noble metal which is used as a material for producing a shaped article of a noble metal having important artificial factors such as jewels of the noble metals, fine arts and ornaments, and which has a low shrinkage in sintering, and to provide a method for manufacturing a sinter of the noble metal. SOLUTION: The clay composition for shaping the noble metal comprises a mixed powder of the noble metal mainly containing 30-70 wt.% of a powder having an average particle diameter of 2.2-3.0μm and the balance a powder having an average particle diameter of 5-20μm, and an organic binder solution, which are mutually kneaded.
