PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tandem bicycle which allows two riders having different physical powers to enjoy themselves with cycling while they stamp the pedals with their respective seating attitudes and manners of stamping, with no care of their difference in the physical powers, and making communications with each other and which assures safety and the rehabilitation effect due to appropriate motions in case one of the riders is old or handicapped. SOLUTION: The tandem bicycle includes a body frame 11 fitted with a number of wheels and stable even when the bicycle is stopping, and the body frame 11 is furnished with a main rider saddle 2 of ordinary bicycle type and an auxiliary rider seat 4 of recumbent type, and one main rider 1 and an auxiliary rider 3 are seated there and generate the rotational power by stamping the pedals for running. The form of the pedals for auxiliary rider is of swing type, where the angle range of the swinging motion of a foot lever 27 is any arbitrary, and he can stamp alternately, simultaneously, or only with single foot.
