PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction vehicle with a volume reduction function which surely separates solid and liquid contained in sludge in a storage tank in a short time, and reduces the volume of the solid to the utmost, prevents breakage and fouling of a filter, and can be used as a multipurpose vehicle such as a normal suction vehicle for which no solid-liquid separation is required, a high-pressure washing vehicle, and a supplying vehicle supplying the high-pressure washing vehicle with water. SOLUTION: The storage tank for settling and separating the recovered sludge inside and a suction mechanism connected to the storage tank, reducing the pressure of the inside of the storage tank and taking the sludge into the storage tank are loaded on the sludge suction vehicle. A movable plate provided with agitation blades at the front face and constituted to move back and forth in the storage tank is arranged in the storage tank. A liquid-permeable part through which only liquid components in the storage tank can pass and a blocking mechanism capable of blocking the liquid from passing to the liquid-permeable part are provided in the movable plate.
