PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet type recording device, widely a liquid injection device which can efficiently carry out coating of a moisture holding agent to a nozzle formation face, and to provide a control device of the liquid injection device, and a method for coating a moisture holding agent using the liquid injection device. SOLUTION: The inkjet type printer 1 (liquid injection device) has a head member 11, a piezoelectric vibrator 15 (pressure variation means), a wiping body 60, a moisture holding agent storage cartridge 12 (moisture holding agent applying means), and a control part 28. The control part 28 includes a driving state detecting means 91 for detecting a previous driving state of the piezoelectric vibrator 15, and an application timing calculating means 92 for calculating a moisture holding agent application timing to the nozzle formation face 66 on the basis of the detected result of the driving state detecting means 91. The control part 28 has also a coating driving means 93 for driving the wiping body 60 and the like on the basis of the application timing calculated by the application timing calculating means 92.
