PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application method of an innovative automotive sealant which can be applied in a prior step to an automobile coating step. SOLUTION: The application method of the automotive sealant is characterized in that the automotive sealant containing a plasticizer (P), an acrylic polymer particulate (R) having epoxy group and not compatible with the plasticizer (P), and a compound (A) having carboxyl and capable of making the acrylic polymer particulate (R) compatible with the plasticizer (P) by addition reaction with the epoxy group by heating as indispensable components is applied in a prior step to a coating step.
