PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking apparatus for which the glass plate of an illumination device where the stains of oil or the like get stuck by exhaust generated from a cooker is easily cleaned. SOLUTION: The cooking apparatus S is provided with a fryer 5 as a cooking means for cooking food and an illumination 38 as an illumination means. The illumination 38 is covered with a light transparent cover 39 covered with titanium oxide (TiO<SB>2</SB>) and the cover 39 stained by steam and the oil, etc., rising from the fryer 5 is easily cleaned.
