PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod with which a fish is readily caught in a terminal tackle and which has excellent operability. SOLUTION: The fishing rod has constitution that a fishing rod butt part 10 having a core material 11 to be freely protrudably connected to the inside of the base rod 1, a butt part 12 attached to the end part of the butt rod side of the core material 11 and a coil panel 14 for urging the core material 11 to the tip top is connected to the butt rod side of the base rod 1 of the fishing rod. A hook part 20 for controlling the fishing rod butt part 10 at the position of the core material 11 protruded to the butt rod side is fixed to the peripheral surface of the base rod 1.
