SUPPORT FOR LITHOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE AND LITHOGRAPHIC PRINTING ORIGINAL PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for a lithographic printing plate which is resistant to the occurrence of the ink twining of a dot part and excellent in leaving dirt resistance independent of the kind of ink and dampening water when made into the lithographic printing plate, and a lithographic printing original plate using the support.

SOLUTION: In the support for the lithographic printing plate and the lithographic printing original plate using the support, with the use of an atomic force microscope, a surface area ratio ▵S50obtained from three-dimensional data obtained by 512×512 dot-measuring of the 50 μm SQARE of a surface meets the following conditions (i)-(iii): (i) the surface area ratio ▵S50(50)is 20-90%, (ii) the surface area ratio ▵S50(2-50)is 1-30%, and (iii) the surface area ratio ▵S50(0.2-2)is 5-40%.
