<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily improve the performance of a projector device by making the highness of contrast compatible with the highness of illuminance. <P>SOLUTION: A light beam transmitted through a liquid crystal panel is enlarged and projected to a screen by a projection lens. The projection lens is equipped with the diaphragm device 14. The characteristic of the contrast of the liquid crystal panel is different according to an incident angle and an incident direction. Then, a nearly triangular aperture part 16 is formed on the device 14 in accordance with the shape of the characteristic of the contrast. By forming the aperture part 16 in shape to make a rate at which only the light beam having high contrast passes high, the highness of the contrast of a projected image can be made compatible with the highness of the illuminance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
