<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric actuator capable of holding a torque in the reverse rotational direction from a driven side at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This electric actuator 10 comprises a ball screw 14 in which a nut 13 is formed as a rotating part and a screw shaft 11 is formed as an output part, an electric motor 15 transmitting a rotational force to the nut 13, a rotating body 17 with a one-way clutch 16 formed rotatable only in the forward rotating direction of the nut 13 and disposed generally concentrically to the nut 13, and a friction material 18 installed between the rotating body 17 and the nut 13 and, when a torque in the reverse direction acts on the nut 13 from a driven side through the screw shaft 11 when the nut 13 is stopped and generating a braking torque on the nut 13 by a friction force against the torque in the reverse direction in association with the lock function of the one-way clutch 16 in the reverse rotating direction.
