PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens unit capable of making the deviation of an optical axis small by restraining backlash amount between 1st and 2nd lens frames while improving the degree of freedom in the tilt adjustment of the 2nd lens frame at a coupling part between the 1st and the 2nd lens frames. SOLUTION: A guide barrel part 43 is formed in a rear lens frame (1st lens frame) holding rear lenses (1st lenses) 31 and 32, and a front lens frame (2nd lens frame) 50 holding a front lens (2nd lens) 33 is fit to slide in the guide barrel part 43. A chamfer-state tapered surface 53 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the front lens frame 50 so as to increase the tilt amount of the front lens frame 50, and also the backlash is restrained by a straight surface 51.
