PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AE (acoustic emission) sensor for inspecting air leakage of a vessel improved in its detection accuracy by utilizing acoustic emission. SOLUTION: In the constitution, an AE sensor body 21 for detecting acoustic energy generated when pressurized gas sealed by contacting a detection surface 21a to a vessel surface 1a leaks from a small defect, and a holding means 22 to 25 for holding the AE sensor body 21 and uniformly contacting the detection surface 21a to the vessel surface 1a are provided.
