PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder inspection device capable of showing high inspection accuracy even when powder having a different color from the color of a nondefective product is required to be inspected as a defective product. SOLUTION: This device is equipped on the periphery of a rotary table 2 with a supply device 3, a front side photographing mechanism 6, a back side photographing mechanism 7, a nondefective product recovery nozzle 8, and a defective product removal nozzle 9 in this order toward the rotation direction. The front side photographing mechanism 6 is equipped with a line sensor camera for photographing in color the powder, an upper side illumination for illuminating from the front side, and a lower side illumination for illuminating from the back side. The back side photographing mechanism 7 is equipped with a line sensor camera for photographing in color the powder, an upper side illumination for illuminating from the front side, and a lower side illumination for illuminating from the back side. Each illumination is characterized by comprising a bar-shaped high-frequency fluorescent lamp, and by being arranged rectangularly with the rotation direction of the rotary table.
