PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge system having color-coded visual display to assist an operator. SOLUTION: Color-coded display assists the operator in the proper selection of a solenoid 30 for use in a particular application. Various components of the liquid discharge system, such as a melter unit 12, a controller 64, a hose 16, an electrical cord set 68a and the solenoid, have visually identifiable color-coded displays 34a-34d, 72a-72d such as color-coded rings 36a-36d, bands and characters on the surfaces of the components to assist the operator in the component selection and configuration processes.
