PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging box which can be simply and surely separated (a strip can be torn) for forming a tray. SOLUTION: The wrap-around-type packaging box includes an upper face plate, a bottom face plate, a belt-like barrel formed having side face plates for coupling the upper and bottom face plates, and inner and outer flaps. A pair of start-to-tear pieces formed at an interval of a predetermined distance are formed approximately at the center of the side face plate. Opposite ends of the pair of tear pieces are substantially coupled via a linear start-to-cut line formed within the predetermined interval. The linear start-to-cut line is cut off, and thereafter the pair of start-to-tear pieces are pulled from the center of the side plate toward both ends respectively. Thus a tear strip connecting with the start-to-tear piece is removed, and upper and lower portions of the box are respectively separated accordingly. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
