PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror device wherein a blind spot area due to an A pillar is visually identified by rotating an auxiliary case equipped with a front view mirror. SOLUTION: When an obstacle is detected in front of a vehicle, the auxiliary case 6 equipped with the front view mirror 5 is projected out in a side direction from a mirror main body 2 equipped with a rear view mirror 4, and the auxiliary case 6 is turned according to a steering angle of the vehicle. Therefore, a driver of the vehicle visually identifies a blind spot due to the A pillar in succession by using the front view mirror 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
