An apparatus (100) and method to insert a small diameter pipe (59) into a borehole while holding a larger diameter pipe (19). The large diamenter pipe is held by a base assembly (10) including a centralized base (11) and body (11a), a segmented plate (14), receptacle (14a), and safety clamp (16). The small diamenter pipe is held by a stripping platform (50) including stripping table (22), collar (20), bowl assembly (24) and slips (26). Also attached to the base (11) is atelescopic stop tower (13,13a). The stop tower (13,13a) includes a force transducer (52), abutting a first wrench (30), that yields a torque readout when a force in direction (P) is applied to a second wrench (32). |
