An apparatus for catching flying insects, comprising a handle by which a user holds the apparatus, a collection unit attached to the handle, wherein the collection unit includes a funnel including a channel having a wide inlet and a narrow outlet through which an air flow entraining one or more flying insects is in use generated through movement of the apparatus, and an enclosure disposed about the outlet of the channel for trapping the one or more flying insects. |
