PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize compactification by eliminating useless space in an electrical equipment box provided at an outdoor unit of a refrigerating apparatus which sucks air from a side face and blows off air from a top face after heat exchange. SOLUTION: This electrical equipment box 15 for the outdoor unit 1 is provided with a box body 51, a cover member 52 and a partition plate 53. The box body 51 is provided to face a front plate 23 of a casing 12 and has an opening on the front plate 23 side. The cover member 52 is disposed to cover the opening of the box body 51. The partition plate 53 is provided in the box body 51 to partition the internal space of the box body 51 into a front side space C on the cover member 52 side, and an inner side space D on the opposite side to the cover member 52.
