PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow control valve by which water quantity control can be easily executed even if used in a high water pressure area and which can stably adjust the flow rate for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The flow control valve is composed of a valve body 39 having guide bars 54, 55 on both sides in the axial direction, a driving shaft 35 movable in an interlocking manner with the valve body 39, a bearing part 33 to convert rotational movement of the driving shaft 35 to axial movement, a rotation force generating means 31 to transmit rotation force to the driving shaft 35, an energizing means 52 to energize the valve body 39 to the bearing part side, a valve body receiving part 51 to which the energizing means 52 is mounted, and a body 32 having guides 49, 50 to guide the guide bars 54, 55 and a valve seat 46 opposing to the valve body 39 at a passage 48 formed in its inside. The valve body 39 has a flow control unit 43 reduced in diameter compared with a body 39a so as to be insertable into a valve seat opening part 46a, and a closing elastic body 42 for covering the side peripheral face 45 from a valve seat opposing face 44 of the body part 39a.
