EARTH RETAINING CUT-OFF STRUCTURE AND EARTH RETAINING CUT-OFF METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth retaining cut-off structure and an earth retaining cut-off method capable of very safely carrying out work of a widening section by enhancing freezing force (shearing force) and freezing separation resistance force in an abutting section of an earth retaining cut-off wall of frozen soil and tunnel lining materials to prevent the collapse of the earth retaining cut-off wall and the deformation and displacement of the lining materials. SOLUTION: Shield holes 1 and 1 are bored in parallel with each other. The earth retaining cut-off wall 2 of frozen soil is formed between the shield holes 1 and 1. Both ends 2a and 2a of the earth retaining cut-off wall 2 are respectively abutted on skin plates 3a of steel shelled segments 3 installed as the lining materials of the shield holes 1 and 1. Dowels 4 are projected to the abutting section of both ends 2a and 2a of the earth retaining cut-off wall 2 and the skin plates 3a of the steel shelled segments 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
