PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a plastic-made insert for hoisting a concrete product having a superior strength equal to that of a metallic insert. SOLUTION: A metallic bar body is arranged in the horizontal direction inside a plastic cylindrical body having an opening upper end part and a blocked-up lower end part, and both ends of the bar body are projected outside by penetrating through a cylindrical wall of the cylindrical body. A suspension load is directly transmitted to concrete from the metallic bar body by hoisting by engaging a suspension member with the metallic bar body. Since the suspension load does not substantially act on the plastic cylindrical body, this insert can possess a strength equal to that of the metallic insert. Since a projecting part is arranged on a blocking-up wall, the suspension member surely engages with the bar body of the insert so that safety of hoisting work of the concrete product is improved.
