PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly dissolve a non-reactive gas in a resin by properly controlling the advance and retreat, back pressure or rotation of a screw on the basis of the flow rate or pressure of the non-reactive gas and to properly plasticate the resin. SOLUTION: The automatic plasticator has a heating cylinder 22 for heating the resin to melt the same, the screw 24 arranged in the heating cylinder 22, a screw rotating device 28 for rotating the screw 24, a screw driver 25 for allowing the screw 24 to advance and retreat, a gas supply unit 30 for supplying the non-reactive gas into the heating cylinder 22 and a control unit 50 for controlling the operation of the screw rotating device 28 or the screw driver 25.
