The apparatus to catch and kill flying insects has a funnel structure in two parts, with heat from a gas gauze (1). Light is reflected from the inner side of the upper funnel (2) to the lower section (3) where the insects are attracted. The heat generates an upward suction to draw them around the heat source, where they are burned, and residue is carried out with heat through the chimney (7). A trap (5) around the heat source prevents insects dropping down.
