<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a fuel cell excellent in corrosion resistance and an electroconductive property, and as a result, capable of obtaining a fuel cell property with a high output and inexpensive, in applications of a metallic separator for the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: In the metallic separator for the fuel cell provided on both sides of an MEA 14 with gas flow channels 15, 16 formed therein, a separator base material 20 is formed with a single corrosion-resistant metallic material or a composite material, composed of the corrosion-resistant metallic material and another metallic material, and of which the surface is to be the corrosion-resistant metallic material. In the base material 20, a conductive contact point layer 21 made of noble metal is formed in a coat thickness of 0.0005 to 0.01 μm, or the point layer 21 made of carbon or a composite compound of which the band gap is lower than 0.6 eV is formed in a coat thickness of 0.0005to 0.1 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
