FLUORESCENT INK AND INK CARTRIDGE AND RECORDING UNIT, INK JET RECORDING METHOD AND INK JET RECORDING APPARATUS EACH USING THE SAME INK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent ink capable of forming a printed matter having strong fluorescent intensity and good water resistance and to provide an ink cartridge and a recording unit using the fluorescent ink and to provide an ink jet recording method and an ink jet recording apparatus using the fluorescent ink.

SOLUTION: The fluorescent ink comprises at least one kind of anionic fluorescent dye exciting in an ultraviolet light area and coloring in a visual light area as a coloring material and comprises 5-60% polyethyleneimine based on total amount of the fluorescent dye in an ink for ink jet having at least the coloring material and a water-based liquid medium for dissolving the coloring material. The ink cartridge, the recording unit, the ink jet-recording method and the ink jet-recording apparatus are also provided.
