<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow one reading device to cope with dirt test, mark/character confirmation and color shift test. <P>SOLUTION: The reading device is provided with a plurality of sensor modules 3 linearly arranged in the main scanning direction of a reading face in a casing 2 for setting it so as to be faced to the reading face 1. Reading image signals necessary for various tests are averaged for predetermined pixels by a CPU, and those image signals are stored in a memory 4 according to various test items, and the necessary image signals are transferred through communication/interface parts 5 to the various test systems. The sensor modules 3 are provided with linear sensors with different resolutions corresponding to the test items, and they are independently controlled for dirt test, mark/character confirmation and color shift test. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
