<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger capable of fairly charging users by considering an occupied time for the charger to charge a storage battery. <P>SOLUTION: A charger 10 for charging an onboard battery 22 of a vehicle 20 comprises an AC/DC converter 11 provided between an AC power supply 1 and a charge battery 13, the charge battery 13 capable of discharging/charging, a DC/DC converter 12 provided between the batteries 13 and 21, a charging condition input part 14, a rate receiving part 15, a charge controller 16, an output part 17, and a clock 18. A user inputs an electric power and charge time that he requires in the charge condition input part 14, and the charge controller 16 calculates a charge rate based on the electric power and the charge time. The output part 17 outputs a charge rate to the user. When the user thinks the charge rate to be appropriate and deposits a specified amount to the rate receiving part 15, the charge controller 16 controls the DC/DC converter 12 that converts a charge power of the charge battery 13 into a specified electric power, to discharge the charge battery 13 for charging the onboard battery 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
