VPN SYSTEM, EDGE NODE, AND VPN CONFIGURATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a VPN system capable of enabling a user to use a single VPN even when the VPN extends over a plurality of provider networks or domains.

SOLUTION: A means for attaining path setting over the plurality of provider networks or domains is provided on an edge node. Specifically, the edge node for housing a base receives a path setting request from a user device and searches which provider network a connection destination belongs to, and computes a path to the connection destination. On the basis of the result of computation, signalling is successively performed between edge nodes in the same network and between edge nodes in adjacent networks to set the path to the connection destination.
