PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a photographing source, a copying source, and an editing source when an image is photographed, copied, edited, or the like. SOLUTION: Image data photographed by a camera 11 is stored in an internal memory 26. when the image data stored in the internal memory 26 is instructed so as to be outputted to an external memory 100, a control part 25 instructs a digital watermark embedding part 28 to embed identification information, for example, the self-telephone number, etc., of a corresponding portable telephone into a corresponding image as digital watermark information. Then, the digital watermark embedding part 28 embeds the identification information such as the the self-telephone number into the image data as digital watermark information through an external memory control part 27. Also, the external memory control part 27 outputs the image data with the identification information stored in the internal memory 26 embedded as digital watermark information to the external memory 100. Thus, the identification information for identifying a photographing device is embedded as digital watermark information into the image data stored in the external memory 100.
