PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication version car-navigation system which can enjoy service in pathway of return even if a destination is outside a communication area, by having pathway data which calculate pathway of destination and reciprocation, while a vehicle is in a communication enable region. SOLUTION: A server is provided with communication area data base. When request of pathway planning is received from a terminal device, the server asks whether destination is in a communication area, to the communication area data base. In the case of outside the communication area, the server transmits information showing the outside of the communication area, together with pathway data, to the terminal device, which is provided with a return trip explore selecting means which chooses whether return path is searched after the area information is received. When the return trip explore is selected by the return trip explore selecting means, the terminal device replaces present location and destination in the path planning request of leading, and requires path planning to the server.
