PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently acquire the data for information guidance and provide appropriate information. SOLUTION: A receiving state detection switching part 16A sends a command to a tuner circuit and makes the tuner circuit call a broadcast station specified by a user as a receiving object. If it is determined that the TMC data can not be received by a traffic information data detecting part 16C, after the lapse of a prescribed holding time, a broadcast station matching the prescribed condition is retrieved, based on the broadcast station specified by the user among the broadcast stations registered in a broadcast list generated by a list generating part 16B. Thus, if the broadcast can be detected, the switching part 16A sends the command to the tuner circuit to extract the TMC data by a traffic information data extracting part 16D by making the detected broadcast the receiving object.
