PEER-TO-PEER DOCUMENT SHARING NETWORK SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient peer-to-peer file sharing system capable of performing information retrieval not only for a file name but also the content of a file.

SOLUTION: This file sharing system accumulates and manages a shared document as a combination of actual file data and metadata. Each node computer comprises a type plug-in for collating the content of the metadata with a retrieval condition to determine whether the document is a document corresponding to the retrieval condition or not, a network engine for communicating with another node computer by a peer-to-peer network protocol, a dialog interface function for inputting the retrieval condition and displaying the retrieval result, and a search engine for performing document search and management for the whole network by use of it.
