FILTER FOR PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved filter for a PDP (plasma display panel) and a method of manufacturing the filter by which damages on a metal mesh can be suppressed and the filter can be manufactured at a low cost in a short time.

SOLUTION: The filter for a plasma display panel is provided with: a substrate; a conductive substance pattern formed on the substrate; a negative photoresist pattern which is formed on a portion of the substrate not covered with the above conductive substance pattern and contains pigment and/or dye to shade light in a specified wavelength region and an antireflection substance for external light in order to prevent reflection of external light; and a metal-plated mesh formed on the conductive substance pattern.
