STEREOSCOPIC IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic image display device capable of observing character information together with stereoscopic image information securely and clearly.

SOLUTION: This stereoscopic image display device 15 has a liquid crystal panel part 5 which displays the image information in accordance with parallax on even-numbered lines and odd-numbered lines split in a line form. The 3-D image display device is further provided with a split wavelength plate filter 8 which is disposed oppositely to the even-numbered lines and odd-numbered lines split in a line form of the liquid crystal panel part 5 and converts the polarization direction of polarized light in accordance to the image information from the even-numbered lines split in a line form to a direction different from the polarization direction of the polarized light in accordance with the image information from the odd-numbered lines and a 1/4 wavelength 7 which converts light to circularly polarized light in a region narrower than the split wavelength plate filter 8.
