PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform recording at a higher speed while reducing power consumption using a bubble jet (R) recording head. SOLUTION: In a head arrangement where refill time is shortened and meniscus oscillation is increased by decreasing the resistance of an ink channel 102, next ejection is performed at such a timing as a meniscus 104 is projecting from an ejection opening 105 in the meniscus oscillation following to standard ejection. Since the meniscus 104 is projecting from the ejection opening 105, a larger ink drop 109 can be ejected correspondingly. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
