PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely drive diffusional mixing of dissimilar kinds of liquid in a microchannel with a simple structure by using a liquid mixing apparatus which employs electric seepage flows. SOLUTION: The liquid mixing apparatus 10 includes a pair of introducing channels 20 having liquid inlets 12 respectively, a mixing channel 14 being connected with the introducing channels 20 and having a liquid outlet 16, an electric field forming means 18 which forms a single electric field causing liquid contained in both the introducing channels 20 and the mixing channel 14 to generate the seepage flow advancing from the liquid inlets 12 to the liquid outlet 16, and a wall state changing means 32 which locally changes the state of a wall surface 14a of the mixing channel 14 in contact with the liquid in the mixing channel and makes a regional fluctuation in a velocity field of the liquid flowing in the mixing channel 14. The wall state changing means 32 is made up of a pair of wall materials 34, 36 forming the wall surface 14a of the mixing channel 14 and being different from each other. The wall materials 34, 36 generates respective surface potential values different from each other when coming into contact with liquid having a predetermined physical property (pH).
