The valve is located in a mains gas pipe (1) between a polyethylene part (2) and an outlet (3). It has a ferromagnetic closure body, e.g. a ball (7), which is closed electro-magnetically by a coil (4). The body executes a linear or circular closing movement. It is opened by its own weight or a part connected to it, and/or a spring, and/or electro-magnetically, and/or via a second coil, and/or mechanically via a bar executing a linear movement.
