<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process distribution data if external equipment (a PC) to receive the distribution data has a general purpose processing function and to execute conversion/processing during distribution without occurrence of deteriorations to an image, to which texture removal processing is applied after ON/OFF instructions in storing in an image processor having a function to distribute an input image on a network after temporarily storing the input image after compressing it. <P>SOLUTION: When a scanner input image is distributed to an external PC 19 with a general purpose format (a JPEG, a TIFF or the like) after storing it in HDD 5 after applying the texture removal processing, which follows the ON/OFF instructions, and compression to the scanner input image, the following conversion/processing are applied to the stored data by an image format conversion unit 10 in a copying machine in which copying/printer functions or the like are composited. After the compressed data are expanded to original data, γ conversion, color conversion, and halftone processing are executed, and as a result, they are converted to the general purpose format. The texture is skipped by changing the setting of γ-curves and color conversion parameters to an image in an OFF state of the texture removal in the γ conversion and the color conversion among the processing. The optimum processing method is selected corresponding to the ON/OFF states of the background removal in the halftone processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
